Rolls are made to your drawing and duty, not adapted from a shelf item. In practice the scope covers new roll manufacture to drawing, reconditioning and re-grinding, surface treatment and hard facing, bearing-journal restoration and balancing and inspection. Where an original is obsolete or was never catalogued, we reverse-engineer it from the failed part and the operating condition — material, dimensional tolerance and finish specified for the job it actually has to do. Everything is inspected and documented before it leaves, because on the engineering side of the business a part that is almost right is a part that comes back.
