Cutting, grinding and finishing tools — specified to the material.
SES is an authorised Tyrolit distributor, holding a range from a manufacturer that calls itself the technology leader in grinding: more than 80,000 products, over 500 patents, sold into 140-plus countries. The line covers cut-off and rough grinding wheels, flap discs, fibre and natural-fibre discs, abrasive belts, unitised compact wheels, ceramic points and microfinishing film, through to diamond tooling, core drilling, wall and floor saws, and the dressing tools that keep a wheel in form. Precision lines such as CENTURIA, CSS ULTRA and STARTEC MT-1 serve internal, external, thread and profile grinding — including the rolling-bearing industry, where Tyrolit grinds from 1 mm to 4 m diameter. Everything is specified against the alloy, the machine and the finish: grit size, bond system, hardness grade and structure, across PREMIUM, STANDARD and BASIC tiers.

Wheels for Every Operation
Cut-off, rough grinding, fettling, flap and fibre discs, abrasive belts, unitised wheels and ceramic points — bonded and coated.
CERABOND X Ceramic Grain
Grain engineered to fracture in a controlled way and expose fresh edges, matched to a bond built to release it on time.
Diamond and CBN Tooling
Diamond blades, core bits, cup wheels and vitrified-bonded CBN for stone, concrete and hardened steel.
Precision and Dressing
CENTURIA, CSS ULTRA and MIDTEC lines for cylindrical, thread and profile grinding, plus the dressing tools to hold form.

Ceramic grain — and why the bond matters as much.
A conventional abrasive grain dulls as a whole: the cutting edge rounds over, pressure rises, and the wheel starts rubbing instead of cutting. Tyrolit's CERABOND X pairs a high-performance ceramic grain with a bond engineered to match it, so the grain fractures in a controlled way and continually presents fresh edges, while the bond releases spent grain at the right moment rather than clinging to it. ALPHA TECHNOLOGY extends the same principle to rod-shaped ceramic grains. On diamond tools, TGD — Tyrolit Grain Distribution — places the diamonds deliberately rather than randomly, for even load sharing and cooling. Tyrolit publishes performance gains for these lines against conventional equivalents.
Grit, bond, hardness, structure — read in that order.
The four variables that decide a wheel are not interchangeable. Grit size sets the trade-off between stock removal rate and finish. The bond — resin, vitrified, or a ceramic-matched system — decides how firmly grain is held and when it releases. Hardness grade governs how readily the wheel gives up spent grain: too hard for the alloy and it glazes; too soft and it wears away under you. Structure sets chip clearance, which is what keeps heat out of the workpiece on gummy or stainless material. Specifications such as A24, ZA40 or CA24Q encode exactly this. Tell us the alloy, the machine driving the wheel and the finish you need, and we will read them the right way round.
