Road running consumes pad rubber well before the pin and bush life is anywhere near used up. Track is throwing links or the measured pitch has grown — A complete track assembly rather than piecemeal links. A track mixing stretched and new sections loads the sprocket unevenly and throws again. Road wheel is running out of true or the tyre has chunked — A new or re-tyred road wheel at that station. A delaminated tyre passes the whole station load into the rim and back through the torsion bar.
