Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. System pressure pulses rather than holds steady — A spiral wire hose rated for the peak, not the mean. Pulsation fatigues braided reinforcement at the ferrule long before the tube shows anything. Hose must flex through a tight loop on a moving arm — Confirm the minimum bend radius and route with slack. Bending inside the rated radius collapses the tube and crushes the wire on the inner curve. Carrying steam or hot condensate — A dedicated steam construction with a heat-resistant tube and clamped fittings. General purpose rubber softens, the tube separates and the failure is at head height.
