Industrial Automation Drives
Electrical drive and motion control products that set motor speed and torque electronically. They replace mechanical ratio changes on machines whose throughput or position has to be adjusted while running. SES holds the range as an authorised JK Fenner distributor, covering product types Variable frequency drives and motion controllers; control Scalar V/f and sensorless or closed loop vector; supply Single and three phase input options by rating; interfaces Digital and analogue I/O with fieldbus options. Executions include variable frequency drives, vector control drives, motion and positioning controllers, drive accessories and filters, among others. It is specified most often into dosing and metering pump lines in process plant and packaging and bottling conveyors requiring line sync. Every part is genuine JK Fenner through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.
You will find Industrial Automation Drives in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means dosing and metering pump lines in process plant, packaging and bottling conveyors requiring line sync, fans and pumps run on flow control rather than damper throttling, and equally winders and unwinders needing constant tension, positioning axes on cutting and drilling machines, test rigs and pilot plant needing adjustable speed. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — function: Electronic speed and torque control. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the JK Fenner range and confirm what is in stock.
Specify it against the duty.
Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Load is a centrifugal fan or pump running part-load most of the day — A variable frequency drive with a quadratic torque profile. Throttling with a damper burns the same energy every hour of every shift. Full torque needed at very low speed, as on a mixer breaking a settled batch — Vector control with a feedback device, and force ventilation on the motor. A standard motor at low speed loses its own fan cooling and will overheat at rated current. High inertia load that must stop quickly — A braking resistor or regenerative front end sized to the stopping energy. Without it the drive trips on DC bus overvoltage every time it decelerates. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Panel filter mats are the usual root cause of nuisance drive trips in dusty plants. Clean them on the same schedule as the machine, because a drive that has lost its cooling air derates silently until it faults on a hot afternoon.
