Air is genuinely dry after an effective dryer — Compounds that do not rely on oil mist for lubricity. A rubber chosen for oily air will squeal and stick once the air is clean. Valve body is mounted in the open at underframe level — The ozone-resistant grade. Surface crazing on an exposed seat opens a leak path long before the part measures worn. When a valve fails intermittently, renew the elastomer seat and the mating metal poppet together. A pitted poppet face will cut a fresh seat inside a few hundred cycles and disguise the real cause.
