Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. A shaft raceway has worn but the bearing is otherwise serviceable — An IR inner ring in the correct section, and check the housing still accommodates the extra height before ordering. A thrust face is needed against a soft housing wall — An AXK thrust cage with an AS washer on the soft side, since a bare cage running on a soft face beds straight into it. Both sides of a thrust position are soft — Washers on both faces of the cage, because one washer leaves the opposite raceway unprotected and it fails first.
