Oil Supply Units
A packaged circulating oil station: tank, pump set, filtration, cooling and instrumentation feeding bearings that are lubricated and cooled by a continuous oil flow. The oil returns to the tank, sheds heat and contamination, and goes round again. SES holds the range as an authorised SKF distributor, covering tank capacity Tens to several hundred litres, sized to residence time; pump types Gear or screw pumps, single or duplex; filtration Duplex filters with changeover valve and differential indication; cooling Shell and tube or plate heat exchangers, water or air cooled. Executions include single pump circulating units, duplex pump units with automatic changeover, units with integral oil coolers, units with offline filtration loops, among others. It is specified most often into morgoil and roll neck bearings on hot and cold mills and turbine and large fan bearing pedestals. Every part is genuine SKF through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.
You will find Oil Supply Units in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means morgoil and roll neck bearings on hot and cold mills, turbine and large fan bearing pedestals, kiln support and thrust roller assemblies, and equally heavy industrial gearboxes on mill and crusher drives, paper machine wet end and dryer section bearings, compressor and blower bearing housings. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — duty: Continuous circulating lubrication and cooling. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the SKF range and confirm what is in stock.
Specify it against the duty.
Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Bearing housings run hot even with correct flow — Cooler capacity checked against total heat rejection, not against oil volume. An undersized cooler shows up as a slowly rising tank temperature over a whole campaign, never as a sudden fault. Water ingress from steam, spray or seal leakage — A tank with a proper settling arrangement, water drain and, where the load justifies it, a vacuum dehydrator. Emulsified oil loses film strength long before the analysis lab reports it. Long runs of return pipework at low gradient — Return lines at least one size above the supply and a continuous fall to the tank. Flooded returns push oil back into the housings and drive it out past the seals. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Aim for a residence time in the tank long enough for entrained air to break out. Tanks sized purely on pump flow foam under load, and a foaming system will trip on low flow while the level gauge reads full.
