Finishing and Polishing
Tools for the stage after the metal has been removed — blending, deburring, cleaning and bringing a surface up to a specified finish. Removal rate is deliberately low here, because the aim is to control the surface without changing the dimension. SES holds the range as an authorised Tyrolit distributor, covering grits Coarse 40 through to fine polishing grades; abrasives Aluminium oxide, zirconia, silicon carbide, ceramic; carriers Cloth flaps, nylon filament, elastic bond; mountings 6 mm shanks, M14 threads, plain bores. Executions include bristle brushes, elastic mounted points, flap wheels. It is specified most often into blending weld runs on stainless vessels and pipework and deburring machined housings before assembly. Every part is genuine Tyrolit through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.
You will find Finishing and Polishing in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means blending weld runs on stainless vessels and pipework, deburring machined housings before assembly, cleaning heat tint from welded food and pharma pipelines, and equally polishing dies and moulds in tool rooms, finishing internal bores and radii in valve bodies, preparing surfaces before plating or painting. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — aim: Surface control, minimal stock removal. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the Tyrolit range and confirm what is in stock.
Specify it against the duty.
Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Weld caps have to be blended into the plate without a step — A flap wheel or flap disc. Flaps conform to the contour, where a rigid wheel cuts a flat and leaves a visible facet. Burrs must go without touching the machined dimension — An abrasive filament brush. Filaments cut only at the tip and take almost nothing off the flat face. A die cavity or radius needs a controlled finish — An elastic bonded point. Rigid vitrified points chatter in a cavity and leave marks that then have to be polished out. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Ordering this from SES.
Finishing consumables get judged on price per piece, and that is the wrong measure. Count the operator minutes each grit step takes, and a costlier abrasive that removes one step from the sequence pays for itself the same day.
