Floor Grinding and Surface Preparation
Everything that goes under a floor grinder: metal-bond and resin segments, PCD blocks, bush hammer heads and polishing pads. What you fit is driven by what is on the slab now and what finish the client has signed off. SES holds the range as an authorised Tyrolit distributor, covering bond types Metal, hybrid, resin, PCD; grit span Coarse strip grits through to gloss; fitments Quick-change, trapezoid, bolt-on; substrates Concrete, screed, terrazzo, natural stone. Executions include bush hammer tools, floor grinding accessories, grinding and polishing pads, grinding and polishing tools, among others. It is specified most often into warehouse and logistics floor refurbishment and workshop slabs being prepared for resin coating. Every part is genuine Tyrolit through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.
You will find Floor Grinding and Surface Preparation in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means warehouse and logistics floor refurbishment, workshop slabs being prepared for resin coating, showroom and retail polished concrete, and equally car park deck coating removal, terrazzo restoration in public buildings, screed levelling before flooring installation. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — scope: Slab preparation through to gloss. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the Tyrolit range and confirm what is in stock.
Specify it against the duty.
Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Thick epoxy or bitumen still bonded to the slab — PCD tooling first, not diamond segments. Segments load with softened coating and stop cutting inside a few square metres. New slab carrying nothing worse than laitance — Medium-bond metal segments from the start. Aggressive tooling on a green slab cuts scratches that then need three extra resin steps to remove. Very hard, power-floated concrete — A soft bond so the matrix wears back and keeps exposing diamond. A hard bond glazes and ends up polishing the tooling instead of the floor. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Ordering this from SES.
Trial a square metre before committing to a bond for the whole job. Concrete hardness varies within a single pour, and tooling that flew through the sample bay can glaze solid twenty metres away. Send the designation off the failed part and we will confirm the Tyrolit equivalent and stock position.
