Polishing Program

This is a route rather than a single product: the bonded, coated and non-woven stages that carry a surface from as-ground to a specified finish. Pick your entry point from the scratch depth you have now, and your exit point from the finish the drawing or the customer demands. SES holds the range as an authorised Tyrolit distributor, covering stage 1 Bonded wheels, fibre discs, coarse belts; stage 2 Flap discs and medium coated abrasives; stage 3 Non-woven fleece, SCM belts, unitised products; stage 4 Felt, cloth and polishing paste. Executions include fleece pins and flap pins, fleece rolls and fleece sheets, non-woven discs, polishing pads, among others. It is specified most often into stainless fabrication for dairy, brewery and pharmaceutical plant and architectural metalwork and handrail shops. Every part is genuine Tyrolit through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.

You will find Polishing Program in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means stainless fabrication for dairy, brewery and pharmaceutical plant, architectural metalwork and handrail shops, stone and worktop workshops, and equally concrete floor contractors, tool rooms finishing dies and moulds, general engineering and vehicle repair workshops. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — scope: Complete finishing sequence. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the Tyrolit range and confirm what is in stock.

Specify it against the duty.

Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Weld reinforcement still standing proud of the surface — Begin on bonded or coated abrasive - a wheel or a zirconia belt. Non-woven and polishing products at this stage only burnish the high spots and waste an hour. Surface is flat but the scratch pattern is uneven — Move to non-woven fleece or SCM belts and unify the pattern before any gloss step. Gloss applied over an uneven pattern reads as a smear under shop lighting. A named mill finish or an Ra figure on the drawing — Work to a physical sample piece, not a grit number. Grit alone does not set Ra - machine, speed and pressure all move it. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Ordering this from SES.

Most finishing complaints trace back to a jumped grade, not a bad abrasive. Write the sequence on the job card and have the operator sign each stage off - it costs a minute and saves the panel. Send the designation off the failed part and we will confirm the Tyrolit equivalent and stock position.
