Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Weld that has to be blended rather than cut out — This system in place of a grinding wheel. A bonded wheel takes parent metal along with the weld before the operator can react to it. Thin section where distortion is a real risk — Lighter pressure and short passes. Heat put in during dressing pulls thin plate exactly the way welding did. Access limited along a tight fillet — A smaller disc diameter and slower removal. Forcing a large disc into a fillet damages the holder and the weld toe together.
