Shot Blaster
Enclosed machines that throw steel shot at the floor from a spinning wheel and recover shot and debris in the same pass. The result is a dry, even, keyed profile with no slurry and very little airborne dust. SES holds the range as an authorised Tyrolit distributor, covering working widths Narrow walk-behind through to wide ride-on machines; media Steel shot in several sizes for profile control; recovery Integral magnetic separation and shot return; dust Connection to a matched dust extractor. Executions include walk-behind shot blasters, ride-on shot blasters, steel deck blasters, steel shot media, among others. It is specified most often into surface preparation before epoxy and MMA flooring and removing thin coatings and curing membranes from slabs. Every part is genuine Tyrolit through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.
You will find Shot Blaster in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means surface preparation before epoxy and MMA flooring, removing thin coatings and curing membranes from slabs, keying steel deck plate before painting, and equally preparing car park and bridge decks for waterproofing, descaling and profiling in fabrication shops, programmed preparation of large warehouse floors. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — media: Recycled steel shot. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the Tyrolit range and confirm what is in stock.
Specify it against the duty.
Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. The coating specification calls for a stated surface profile — Shot size and travel speed set to reach that profile, proven on a trial strip. Profile depth comes from shot size, not from adding passes. Thick or rubbery coatings still in place — Grind or mill first. Shot bounces off an elastic coating and shot loss rises sharply for no useful removal. An occupied floor directly below the work — Shot blasting instead of wet grinding. There is no slurry to travel through slab penetrations and stain the ceiling underneath. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Ordering this from SES.
Blast blades and the seal skirt are consumables that set how the machine performs. A worn skirt throws shot forward, the pattern widens, the profile goes shallow and the shot bill climbs. Send the designation off the failed part and we will confirm the Tyrolit equivalent and stock position.
