Tools
The abrasive and diamond tooling programme, grouped by the job rather than by the wheel. Work through it by operation first — cut, drill, rough grind, blend — then by the material, because grain and bond are chosen from what you are working on, not from the machine you happen to hold. SES holds the range as an authorised Tyrolit distributor, covering bonded wheel diameters 50 mm to 1250 mm; grain types Aluminium oxide, zirconia alumina, silicon carbide, ceramic; bonds Resinoid, vitrified, elastic rubber, metal and electroplated diamond; peripheral speed Commonly 50, 63, 80 and 100 m/s by type. Executions include accessories, core drilling, cutting, diamond tools & saws, among others. It is specified most often into structural fabrication shops cutting plate, angle and pipe and foundry fettling bays dressing gates and risers. Every part is genuine Tyrolit through official channels, with designation, specification and options confirmed against your duty before it ships — supplied from Kolkata and our branch network, with breakdown cover that does not sit in an inbox.

Where it runs.
You will find Tools in the parts of a plant where this particular duty actually occurs. In practice that means structural fabrication shops cutting plate, angle and pipe, foundry fettling bays dressing gates and risers, shipyard and boiler shops preparing weld edges, and equally civil contractors coring slabs and cutting joints, tool rooms finishing dies, moulds and jigs, refinery and power plant shutdown crews cutting seized fasteners and pipework. What links them is the duty rather than the machine name — covers: Bonded, coated and diamond tools. If your installation is not on that list it matters less than you would think: the operating condition decides the specification. Send us the load, the speed, the running temperature and the environment it runs in, and we will match it to the right execution in the Tyrolit range and confirm what is in stock.
Specify it against the duty.
Specification here follows the operating condition, not the catalogue. Bulk metal has to come off and surface finish is irrelevant — A bonded roughing or fettling wheel in a coarse grit. A coated flap disc will do the job too, but it costs several times more per kilogram of metal removed. The material is concrete, stone, brick or reinforced section — A diamond tool, not a bonded wheel. Bonded abrasive on cured concrete wears away in minutes and pushes the operator into forcing the machine. Weld caps need blending without biting into the parent plate — A coated flap disc or flap wheel. A depressed-centre grinding disc removes the weld and takes a gouge with it. Where two of those apply at once, specify for the harsher of the two — under-specifying is what puts the part back on the bench a month later. Send us the duty and we will confirm the execution.

Ordering this from SES.
Check the wheel maximum rpm against the nameplate speed of the machine before every fitment, not just the bore and diameter. Resin-bonded wheels also have a shelf life; store them flat in a dry room and issue the oldest stock first.
